Organizing
I love to be organized. I get a rush out of cleaning a messy cabinet, drawer, or stack of papers. I enjoy giving people creative and crafty ways to organize everyday items.
If I can keep track of something, I will. I have lists for home inventory, expenses, books, magazine subscriptions, and much more.
Writing
When I was twelve I wrote my autobiography for a sixth grade English assignment. After all these years, and several moves, I still have the tattered and yellowed manuscript that is held together by two pieces of black yarn and three brass fasteners. The orange front cover and brown back cover made out of construction paper are in clear sheet protectors to prevent any further damage. (I guess I’ve always been crafty and creative.) In the last chapter I wrote that I wanted to be an author. The rough draft of my first book on organization was written during NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) in November 2011 and is now in the editing process. The book will be published this fall.
Recipes
I hate to admit that I don’t cook as much as I did several years ago, but I enjoy trying new recipes. I like to make recipes that are easy to make and don’t take a lot of time. I hope you enjoy making the recipes I share with you.
Crafting
I love to make crafts. I make birthday cards, anniversary cards, and Christmas cards. I have scrapbooks dating back to 1970 (I started in second grade). I even redesigned my office so I could have a special crafting station. Try the craft ideas I share with you and have fun!
Shadow 365
If I had to describe one word that made me happy it would be “Shadow.” I call Shadow my four-legged child. I also say I live in Shadow’s house. He is a spoiled rotten pooch, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. After all, he did beg for his chance to write articles for me and I agreed.
Spelling, Grammar, and Software Tips
In my many years as an administrative assistant, I have learned many shortcuts and tips. I hope the tips make your life easier.
